A WAY FORWARD
IN SMALL STEPS
AN ORIGINAL SYNTHESIS
We cannot always choose what activates us.
We can practice how we respond.

The presentation connects the summit’s themes into a repeatable rhythm of noticing, regulating, repairing, reconnecting and rebuilding. Growth rarely moves in a straight line—and it does not require perfection.

DO MORE THAN READ

Bring the teaching into everyday life.

These are invitations to practice, not tests to pass. Choose what is safe and realistic for your circumstances.

A TWO-MINUTE PAUSE

Before a hard conversation

  1. Notice your breath, jaw, shoulders and feet.
  2. Name the feeling without treating it as a verdict.
  3. Ask: “What do I know—and what am I assuming?”
  4. Choose whether you are ready to talk or need a planned pause.
A REPAIR CONVERSATION

Move past “I’m sorry.”

  1. Name the behavior without excuses.
  2. Acknowledge impact and make room for response.
  3. Explain concrete steps to prevent repetition.
  4. Honor the other person’s boundaries and pace.
A WEEK OF SMALL STEPS

Change through repetition

  1. Spend a day noticing body cues.
  2. Practice grounding or gentle breathing.
  3. Identify one protective boundary.
  4. Take one safe, honest step toward connection.
FOR LEADERS & SMALL GROUPS
